A civilization strategy game where the history of the Marianas becomes your world to shape.
Begin with a Chamorro village on Saipan in 1300 CE. Build homes beneath the palms. Raise latte stones. Sail the ocean by proa. Feed your people, grow your islands, and survive the centuries that follow.
Explorers will arrive. Empires will change. Wars will redraw the Pacific. Governments will rise and fall.
History has already written what happened.
What comes next is yours.

Fanohge Marianas is a story-driven civilization strategy game spanning centuries of life in the Mariana Islands.
Your journey begins in 1300 CE, long before colonial flags appeared on the horizon. From a small settlement on Saipan, you gather resources, construct buildings, grow your population, develop your economy, and guide your people through an evolving archipelago.
But time does not stand still.
The Age of Contact arrives. Spanish rule transforms the islands. Germany takes possession. Japan builds an empire across Micronesia. War brings the United States. The Trust Territory gives way to the Commonwealth.
Every era changes the world around you.
Buildings change. Industries change. Governments change. Ships change. The islands themselves carry the evidence of everything that came before.
And eventually, history runs out.
That is when your history begins.
Every turn moves the Marianas forward through time. Develop your islands carefully, manage what your people need, and make decisions whose consequences may survive long after the era that created them.
Begin on Saipan and develop communities across the archipelago. Construct homes, farms, cultural sites, infrastructure, industries, ports, and era-specific buildings. What begins with guma', taro patches, proa canoes, and latte stones evolves as centuries of technology and outside influence transform the islands. Watch your civilization physically grow across a living 3D Marianas.
Civilizations are built on more than monuments. Balance food, materials, wealth, culture, population, housing, and development while deciding where limited resources should go. Expansion can create prosperity. Poor planning can leave an island vulnerable when history changes the rules.
You cannot stop the centuries from arriving. Exploration, colonization, migration, war, political change, economic transformation, and outside powers enter the story as the historical timeline advances. Your challenge is not to erase that history. It is to guide the people of the Marianas through it.
Eventually, the timeline reaches the present. Then the rails disappear. The future of the Marianas becomes a civilization problem with no historical answer key. Develop your islands, choose policies, confront the consequences of earlier decisions, and determine what kind of society emerges from everything that came before. The past is scripted. The future is not.
Fanohge does not treat history as a menu of cosmetic skins. Each era represents another chapter in the evolving political, cultural, and economic world of the islands.
Before conquest. Before foreign flags. Build a thriving island community through agriculture, fishing, navigation, kinship, and the world of the latte builders. Raise the foundations of everything that follows.
Sails appear beyond the reef. The Marianas enter a rapidly connecting world as European expeditions cross the Pacific and encounters with outsiders begin changing the islands forever.
Missionization, colonial rule, upheaval, survival. The islands are pulled into the Spanish Pacific as old systems collide with a new colonial order.
Another flag rises. Administration, trade, and empire shift again as the Marianas enter a brief German colonial chapter at the turn of a new century.
The islands are transformed by migration, infrastructure, agriculture, industry, and the expanding Japanese empire. Development accelerates. So does the approach of war.
The Pacific erupts. World War II reshapes the Marianas, followed by American administration and the long transition from battlefield islands to a new political order.
The Northern Mariana Islands enter political union with the United States. Modern infrastructure, tourism, migration, economic booms, political struggles, demographic change, and the complicated machinery of contemporary island life become yours to navigate.
History ends here. You decide what replaces it.
Fanohge Marianas is built around a living 3D representation of the archipelago.
Buildings appear as you construct them. Communities grow. People move across the landscape. Ships cross the surrounding Pacific. Architecture changes with the era. Flags rise and fall with political administration. The skyline of the islands gradually becomes a physical record of the civilization you have inherited and built.
A latte house belongs to one chapter.
A colonial church belongs to another.
A sugar mill tells another story.
Modern infrastructure tells another.
By the late game, you are not simply looking at a map.
You are looking at centuries layered on top of one another.
The Marianas have never existed outside history.
Empires crossed them. Indigenous cultures survived them. Migrants built lives within them. Wars scarred them. Political agreements reshaped them. Economic experiments transformed them.
Fanohge turns that accumulated history into the foundation of the game itself.
The goal is not to reduce centuries of complicated history into a parade of conquerors and dates.
It is to place the islands and their people at the center of the timeline.
You are not playing as Spain.
You are not playing as Germany.
You are not playing as Japan.
You are not playing as the United States.
Governments change.
The islands remain.
Growth creates opportunity, but consumes resources.
Industry generates wealth, but changes the land.
Policies solve problems while creating new ones.
Population requires housing, food, infrastructure, and work.
Political choices can open one path while closing another.
Fanohge is built around tradeoffs rather than a single "correct" route through history.
Your civilization is not measured only by how large it becomes.
It is measured by what survives, what changes, what is sacrificed, and what you choose to carry forward.
Explore a civilization that evolves visually alongside its history.
Build the first settlement and watch an island community emerge among the palms.
Select islands, construct buildings, manage development, and watch your decisions appear directly on the map.
New eras bring different architecture, economies, people, ships, governments, and challenges.
Reach the end of recorded history and inherit the consequences of everything that came before.
Fanohge Marianas is an independently developed historical strategy game and an ongoing experiment in turning the history of the Mariana Islands into an interactive world.
It combines civilization management, historical storytelling, 3D worldbuilding, and speculative future-building into a game centered on a place rarely given the starring role in strategy games.
Development is ongoing. Systems, artwork, historical events, models, balancing, and gameplay will continue to evolve as the project grows.
Because there are thousands of games about conquering islands.
There should be at least one about surviving as them.
